Project Spotlight: Studio Uplift for Gecko Fitness – Yattendon, Berkshire

We recently had the pleasure of delivering a premium studio uplift for Gecko Fitness, a high-performance training space located in the picturesque village of Yattendon, Berkshire. Owned and operated by brothers Aynsley and Tom Fry, Gecko Fitness is known for its strong coaching ethos, inclusive atmosphere, and commitment to functional training done right.

A Fresh Look with Function at Its Core

The goal of this project was to revitalise the existing studio with durable gym flooring, upgraded equipment, and a striking focal point that would reflect the brand’s energy and identity. The result is a bold, functional space designed to meet the demands of both trainers and members.

Key Features of the Studio Uplift

1. Premium Gym Flooring
We installed 20mm flecked rubber flooring throughout the training space. This high-density, non-slip surface is ideal for both strength and conditioning work, offering excellent shock absorption, noise reduction, and long-term durability.

2. Bespoke Half Rack with Integrated Storage
At the heart of the studio is a fully customised half rack system with adjoining storage, built for both style and performance. Key design elements include:

  • Bare steel frame with a gloss clear coat, offering a raw, industrial aesthetic

  • Signal orange accents to energise the space and reinforce the brand’s identity

  • Custom Gecko Fitness branding integrated directly into the rack structure

  • Smart storage solutions for dumbbells, kettlebells, and functional tools

This setup maximises space efficiency while delivering a professional-grade training platform.
